Good news, bad news.

Let's start with the bad news.

So, just 5 weeks ago, my heart stopped for 25 minutes which technically, means I was....well.... I can't even TYPE that word. Let me just say this. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) rarely ends well for anybody. But, I'M ALIVE thanks to CPR! Aaaaaaand it's Sudden Cardiac Awareness Month! This, my friends... is all good news.

At this point, I know way more than I ever wanted to know about Sudden Cardiac Arrest but, on the brightside, it makes me feel a whole lot better about the time I learned way too much about lice. Perspective is everything, people. (This would also be classified as good news).

Oh, but more bad news (sorry)... every single day 1,000 people die from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. However.. that number could be reduced by as much as 50% IF more bystanders would give CPR (more good news!). Since 7 out of 10 SCA's happen at home, if you are trained in CPR, you could save the life of someone you love. Boom. #highnote #goodnews #minutesmatter #cprsaveslives #callpushshock #tinybutmighty #mykidknowsCPR #emtdreamteam #ellendegeneres
